LAURA ANTONE

My last Journal Entry, “Your Kitchen Translated” praised the Wm Ohs Dealer Service Staff and the critical detail work they perform in readying your kitchen order for factory production. 

Now, I’d like to talk about one of the impressive people in this Dealer Service Staff: Laura Antone.

Laura is our Dealer Services manager. She began working for Wm Ohs eighteen years ago in 1994 as our receptionist.

Laura is one of those indispensable people who is not only very smart and ultimately capable, but is just about the most agreeable individual you’ll ever have the good fortune to encounter – let alone employ.

Thriving within a K-12 Catholic school education and graduating near the top of her class, Laura taught herself Excel, Pagemaker, Photoshop and Auto-Cad computer programs while working for WmOhs.

Initially, Laura screens every Wm Ohs kitchen order sent to the factory by your designer. Then she assigns your order (according to its custom complexity) to one of our four Dealer Service Staff members. When too many orders arrive in the same time, Laura may “Translate” an order herself. She even occasionally assists in the Engineering Department writing “machinery cutting plans” for materials. This is how thoroughly Laura understands Wm Ohs products. Actually, you may just as often locate her on the factory floor gathering finish samples, checking shipping schedules and clarifying Change Orders as at her office desk.

I speak supportingly and sincerely about Laura because, for several years, she personally assisted me in developing and publishing new product innovations and catalogs.
