Wm Ohs cabinetry and designer Matthew Quinn take First Place in Sub-Zero/Wolf Kitchen Design Contest
Atlanta, GA - Matthew Quinn, professional kitchen designer and partner in Design Galleria Kitchen & Bath Studio, has been named First Place National Winner in the national Sub-Zero/Wolf Kitchen Design Contest for 2003. This contest is one of the most prestigious kitchen design contests in the country with over 950 entries and a panel of judges whose standards and integrity are among the highest in the industry. Matthew Quinn incorporated the same classic proportions and fine details that were designed by architectural firm Harrison Design Associates (AIA), retaining a stylistic consistency throughout the home done in the English Manor style. As a result of this architectural harmony, the kitchen became the center of the home. Exquisite finished alder cabinetry from the Wm Ohs Tuscan line was used with intricately carved crown, furniture feet, leaded glass and turned legs. Wm Ohs cabinetry, known for its smooth elegant finishes, used a Buckskin color finish. The limestone hood embraces the 48" wide cook top with a pair of Wolf 36" wide ovens. Leaded glass display windows in the wall cabinets mirrors the pattern of the clerestory window and give this grand kitchen a feeling of great substance and style, while still remaining classic. The island is crafted in the Classic Raised Wm Ohs style with a Saguaro Green glazed finish that houses refrigerator drawers, prep sink, dishwasher and trash compactor. The raised beveled glass cabinet on the end of the island allows for an attractive transition from the keeping room to the kitchen. The Etched Ivory finish on the table island with a walnut countertop exemplifies Wm Ohs engineering, providing more storage than meets the eye with staple bins holding coffee beans and pasta. This is the very essence of a warm Tuscan kitchen, filled with the promise of great meals to come!
