Wm Ohs cabinetry in Winning Sub-Zero/Wolf Kitchen Design

Sub-Zero logo     Wold Design logo

Designer Matthew Quinn combined the strong architectural elements of Wm Ohs cabinetry with state-of-the-art Sub-Zero/Wolf appliances to become the First Place National Winner for 2003 in the prestigious annual contest sponsored by Sub-Zero/Wolf. Quinn is a partner in Atlanta's Design Galleria Kitchen & Bath Studio.

Exquisite finished alder cabinetry from the Wm Ohs Tuscan line was used with intricately carved crown, furniture feet, leaded glass and turned legs. Wm Ohs cabinetry, known for its smooth elegant finishes, used a "Buckskin" color finish. The limestone hood embraces the 48" wide cook top with a pair of Wolf 36" wide ovens. Leaded glass display windows in the wall cabinets mirrors the pattern of the clerestory window and give this grand kitchen a feeling of great substance and style, while still remaining classic. The island is crafted in the classic raised Wm Ohs style with a "Saguaro Green" glazed finish that houses refrigerator drawers, prep sink, dishwasher and trash compactor.

The modern influences and understated elegance of "Asian Transitions".
Wm Ohs Introduces New "Asian Transitions" Style Cabinetry

Wm Ohs has introduced a new transitional style that blends sophisticated, modern Asian influences-Asian Transitions. This new wave of design in the Wm Ohs line incorporates several key elements that combine complexity, detail and understated styling.

1) Simplicity-understatement, restraint, lack of ornament, unpretentious, plain, homely and spartan.
2) Asymmetry-irregular, unequal, uneven, unpredictable, earthy, natural as in nature, twisted, interesting.
3) Subtlety-delicate, lovely, small, quiet, only small amounts or traces, minimal, discriminating, exquisite.
4) Austerity-respect and reverence, venerable, aged, reserved, sober, murky, dark, somber, enigmatic.

5) Creativity-fresh, delightful touches of vibrant color, unusual, captivating without being odd or ostentatious.

Asian transitions, classic simplicity. Still timeless. Still handmade. Always elegant!
